Clipboard

The Clipboard section remembers what you copy, encrypted on disk. It has three modes.

History

Everything you copied, newest first.

• Pin the clips you reuse.
• Search and filter.
• Click a clip to copy it again.

With Settings › Automations › Hide ID/card numbers in clipboard on, Shelf does not save a clip that contains something sensitive: a CPF or CNPJ, a card number, an email address, an API key, a JWT, a private key or another secret.

Snippets

Named pieces of text you paste often: a signature, an address, a command.

Queue

Line up several clips, then press ⌥ ⇧ V to paste the next one, again and again, in order. Good for filling forms. Pasting needs the Accessibility permission.

Transforms

Each clip's menu changes it in place, on your Mac:

• format JSON;
• encode or decode base64;
• turn text into a slug.

Privacy

The history is encrypted at rest with a key kept in the Keychain. It never leaves your Mac.
