Automation
Cortex Shelf answers to cortexshelf:// links, so Shortcuts, Spotlight, scripts and the command line can drive it.
| Link | Does |
|---|---|
cortexshelf://open/<section> | Opens a section: home, music, shelf, clipboard, notes, screenshots, search, focus, ports |
cortexshelf://focus/<action> | Controls focus: start, pause, toggle, skip, reset |
cortexshelf://search?q=<text> | Opens Search with a query |
From Terminal:
sh
open "cortexshelf://open/notes"
open "cortexshelf://focus/start"
open "cortexshelf://search?q=git%20rebase"Not authenticated
Any app, and any web page you visit, can open these links. They only open sections, control the focus timer and start a search; none of them reads, sends or deletes your data.
Automations
Settings › Automations has three switches that work on their own:
- Hide ID/card numbers in clipboard: sensitive clips are not saved (see Clipboard).
- Automatic OCR on screenshots (see Screenshots).
- Downloaded PDFs go to Shelf (see Shelf).
